The short version
We collect as little as we can, we do not sell it, and we do not read what you build.
Everything below is the longer, honest version of those three lines.
Most of AntGlow is still being built. Where something below has not opened yet, it
says so. We would rather tell you now what is coming than change this page quietly
later.
1. Who handles your information
AntGlow is built and run from Ontario, Canada, by a small studio. You can reach us
about your privacy through our contact form, and
a real person answers, not a ticket queue.
One person here is accountable for what we hold about you. If you want to know who
that is, ask us and we will tell you.
2. What we collect
Today we hold two things: your waiting-list email with the record of what you
agreed to when you gave it, and whatever you tell us if you write to us about moving a
site you already have. Serving the site also produces short technical logs and an
aggregate count of page views, both unavoidable parts of running a website and both
covered below. The rest of this list describes
what we will collect once the builder opens, so you can see it before you decide.
- Your waiting-list email, if you gave it to us, so we can tell you when
AntGlow opens. That is all we use it for. We also store the date you gave it and the
exact sentence you agreed to, so that what you consented to is a matter of record
rather than of our memory.
- What you tell us about a site you already have, if you ask us to move one.
That is your name, your email, the address of the site as it stands, a rough sense of
its size, and anything you write in the message box. We use it to answer you and to
work out what the job would cost. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not
look at your site beyond what answering you requires. Ask us to delete it and it goes.
- Account details, when accounts open: your email and the sign-in you
choose.
- The site you build, once the builder opens: your pages, photos, and words.
We will store these so we can host and show your site. They are yours.
- Usage counts, such as how much the building assistant is used. We measure
the amount, to keep the service fair and fast. We do not read the content of your
work.
- What you send the assistant, when you ask it for help. The assistant is
not ours. It runs on a model made by Anthropic, and the question you type, along with
the part of your page you are asking about, goes to them so they can answer it. It
goes for that reason and no other. It is not used to train their model, and it is not
read by us. Ask it nothing and nothing goes.
- Basic technical logs, such as errors and security events. These exist
already, because the site has to be served to reach you. They are kept for a short
time so we can keep the service safe and working, and we do not use them to work out
who you are.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your information, and we do not rent your email list to anyone.
- We do not read what you build or write to profile you or to train anything on it.
Neither does the company whose model runs the assistant.
- We do not send you mail you did not ask for. The short list of messages we do send
an account holder is in section 6, and none of it is marketing.
4. Where your information lives
The site and the waiting list run on Cloudflare, which hosts the pages and
holds the database the list lives in. That is the whole list today.
As parts of the product open we will add what they need, and we will name them here
before they hold anything of yours. The ones already chosen are Brevo for sending
the announcement email, Stripe for payments when paid plans open, and
Anthropic, whose model answers when you ask the building assistant for help. If
that list changes in a way that matters, this section changes with it.
5. Payments
When paid plans open, card payments will be handled by Stripe. Your card details go
straight to them and are never stored on our systems, so they cannot be exposed by us,
because we never hold them.
6. When we email you
We do not send marketing to customers. What we do send is the small set of messages you
would be angry to have missed, and we would rather list them than leave you guessing.
- A price change, at least 60 days before it happens. What it is now, what it
becomes, when, and why. It never applies to a term you have already paid for, and the
same number sits on your dashboard the whole time.
- Anything that puts your site at risk of coming down. A payment that did not
go through, a domain about to expire, a suspension we are considering. You hear about it
while it is still fixable, not after.
- A change we need you to make. If something on your site breaks a rule we are
bound by, we ask you first. What that covers is in the terms, and
the answer is never a silent takedown.
- A security incident. If our systems are broken into and your information is
caught up in it, we tell you what happened, what was taken, and what to do. We tell you
whenever it touches you, even when it makes us look bad. Where a breach could seriously
harm you, Canadian law requires us to tell you and to report it, and we would rather you
heard it from us first either way.
- Ordinary account mail you asked for by signing up: receipts, renewal notices,
a sign-in link when you request one.
None of these have an unsubscribe link, because switching them off would mean we could
not warn you. If you no longer want them, you close the account. Anything that is genuinely
marketing, such as an announcement about something new, is separate, optional, and carries
a one-click unsubscribe in every message.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can ask us what we hold about you, and get a copy.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your information, and to close your account.
- You can leave the waiting list at any time. Every email we send will carry a link
that does it in one click, and until the first one goes out you can write to us and we
will remove you.
- After twelve months on a paid plan, you can export your whole site, in a form that
opens cleanly elsewhere. Before that, and on the free plan, export is not available.
Section 6 of the terms sets this out in full, including the two
things that leave with you on any plan at any time.
If you ask us to delete you, we do it. We do not make you explain why, and we do not
put a form in front of it.
8. How long we keep it
Your waiting-list email is kept until you leave the list or ask us to delete it. If
you leave, we keep a record that you left, so that we do not add you back by accident,
and nothing else.
Once accounts open, we will keep your information for as long as you have an account,
and for a short period after you leave so we can meet our legal and accounting duties.
9. Cookies, analytics, and what stays on your own machine
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, and nothing else. It counts page views so we can see
which pages people actually read. It sets no cookies. It does not follow you to other
sites and it does not build a profile of you. You can see it in the page source as a
script from cloudflareinsights.com, because we would rather you find it there than not
be told about it.
There is no advertising pixel and no ad network on this site. If that ever changes,
this section will say so before it is switched on.
The builder keeps your draft in your own browser while you work, so a closed tab or a
dropped connection does not cost you the afternoon. That copy sits on your machine, not
on ours. Clearing your browser data clears it, which is worth knowing before you do it.
10. Age
You need to be 18 or older to use AntGlow. If the age of majority where you live is
higher than that, then that is the age that applies to you.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you think we
have, tell us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information in a way that matters to you, we will tell
you before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last
changed.
