The short answer: no, and the clock is harsher than elsewhere

Durable does not let you export your site. There is no code download and no file to take with you. The site is built and served by Durable's own platform.

The part that matters more than the export, and that people miss: when you cancel, the site goes offline and you lose access to the editor. On most builders a lapsed account leaves you with a site you can still look at while you sort yourself out. Here the material you would have copied by hand goes away with the subscription.

Copy this out while the account is still open

• Every page of text, including the pages you forgot were there.
• Every image, saved at the largest size the page will give you.
• Your business details as they appear on the site, so contact and hours can be checked against something.
• Every page address, for redirects.
• Anything in the connected business tools you rely on, such as invoices or contacts, which are a separate export question with their own answer.

The AI part is not the problem

Durable's pitch is that it writes a whole site in about thirty seconds, and that is a real and genuinely useful thing. The copy it produced is yours to keep and reuse wherever you go next; there is no reason to throw away words that work.

What does not travel is the site itself. So take the words, take the pictures, leave the machinery.

Check the domain before anything else

If your domain was registered through Durable, confirm you can move it and start that process early. If it was registered somewhere else and merely pointed at Durable, this is much simpler than it feels: you change where it points and nothing about the domain itself has to move at all.
