Publishing, your address and going back

Getting your site online, and changing your mind

Publishing makes your site live, so people can see it. Until you publish, your work is yours alone. This page covers getting it online, its address, and every way to change your mind afterwards.

Publishing your site

  1. In the builder, choose Publish.
  2. The box shows the address your site will use. If it's not the one you want, choose Change it in your dashboard.
  3. Choose Publish. When you see You are live, visitors see the new version. Choose Visit your site to check it.

Saving isn't publishing

The builder saves your work as you go, and Ctrl S saves it at once. Saving never changes what visitors see. Only Publish does, so you can work on changes for as long as you like and publish when they're ready.

How many pages you can publish

The free plan publishes up to 3 pages. Your privacy page, terms and other legal pages don't count toward the 3.

Your site's address

Every new site gets an address ending in .antglow.com. You can change the first part of it yourself 3 times. After that, write to us and a person will change it. Your old address keeps working and sends visitors to the new one.

An address can use:

  • lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens;
  • up to 63 characters;
  • no hyphen at the start or the end.

Some names are kept back, such as www, admin and help. On a paid plan you can also use a domain you own. See Connecting your own domain.

Taking your site offline

Choose Unpublish on the site in your dashboard, then Take it offline. Nothing is deleted. Visitors see a page that says nothing is here yet. Search engines drop your pages while the site is offline and take a little while to pick them up again. To bring the site back, publish it again.

Going back to an earlier version

Choose History on the site. Every change you make is kept:

  • Changes made within 3 minutes of each other are kept as one version.
  • The newest 60 versions are kept.

Choose Preview on a version to see it. Nothing changes until you choose Go back to this. Before it goes back, we save where you are now as "Before going back", so you can undo it the same way. Going back changes your working copy. Publish again to show it to visitors.

Copying a site

Duplicate makes an unpublished copy called "your site's name copy". It copies your pages and design. It doesn't copy a connected domain, the site's history or its Stripe connection. The copy counts toward the number of sites your plan allows.

Deleting a site

  1. Choose Delete on the site.
  2. If the site is published, type its name to confirm.
  3. Choose Delete this site.

The site comes off its address at once. For 30 days it stays in your dashboard with a Bring it back button. A site you bring back returns offline, so publish it again. You need a free site slot on your plan to bring one back. After 30 days, write to us and a person will look into it.

Downloading your site

Choose Download on the site. You get a .zip file with your pages, their styles, your logo and your photos. The pages open in any web browser.

  • Paid plans: downloads open one year after you start your plan, and then stay open while you have a plan and for 60 days after it ends.
  • Free plan: downloads aren't included.

Still stuck

Choose Get help in your dashboard, or use our contact form. A person reads every message.
