Type on your phone and your words appear over your video, large, while you are typing them. For anyone who would rather be read than heard, on a call, on a stream, or across a counter.
Words you can actually read
Chat panels put your sentence in a narrow column at the edge of the screen, in text sized for someone with perfect eyes and a big monitor. Then it scrolls away while you are still reading it.
My Turn puts the words on the video itself, in the middle of where the other person is already looking, at whatever size you set. Nobody has to hunt for a panel, lean in, or ask you to send it again. On a phone, on a laptop, on a television across the room, it is the same words at the same size, and they stay up until you are done with them.
You can put them on the left or the right, keep the middle of the frame clear, and change how long they hold. It is a conversation, so it should be comfortable to have.
Where it works
Wherever your camera already goes. My Turn runs in a browser, so there is nothing to install and nothing to ask permission for.
Video calls
Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Webex. Share the window on its own, or route it through OBS as a virtual camera, and your typed words sit over your face while you are typing them.
Live streaming
OBS Studio and Streamlabs take it as a browser source, so your words land on the stream in the same layer as the rest of your overlay, sized to be read from a couch.
In the room
A screen facing out, and your phone in your hand. A counter, a waiting room, an appointment. Two people can type at once, each on their own side, so it stays a conversation.
Who it is for
Made for Deaf and hard of hearing people. Also for anyone who wants to say something without making a sound: a quiet room, a shared office, a sleeping house, a late night when the rest of the place is asleep. For people who sign and would rather not be interpreted. And for anyone who would simply rather be read than heard.
Your sentence arrives the way you wrote it. Nobody shortens it to fit a caption box. Nobody decides which half of it was worth passing on.
Two people, two sides
Live nowYour guest gets their own side of the screen and types into it from their own phone. Their words never land in the middle of yours.
They do not need an account and they do not install anything. You send them a link, they type, it appears. That is the whole setup.
What it costs
Free for nowMy Turn is free while it is new, and typing, being seen, and having a second person type with you stay free after that.
Later, some of the finer controls become paid. We would rather tell you that now, before you build a habit around it, than spring it on you the day we turn it on.
My Turn is one of the small tools. The other is a website builder you own outright, coming in 2027.
